Juice Cleanse - Day 3!!!

Hurrah!!! I am so happy to be done with my juice cleanse! Unfortunately, I woke up late this morning and had no time to visit the gym (aka where the scale lives) to weigh myself so I guess the suspense will just have to wait until tomorrow morning.

I'm actually quite beat from such a long day (7 hours of class, 3 hours of meetings today) so today's post will be short and sweet.

Today's rowdy crew:

8:50am e3 Live: This mystery elixir had no ingredient information, even in my daily email. It's supposed to boost your immune system, help cleanse your digestive tracts of foreign materials, and helps stabilize mood swings. It actually tasted okay and was probably the best tasting "starter" of all three days!

9:00am Orange Juice: I "chased" my morning elixir with orange juice. Finally, something normal!! It was actually a welcome return to normalcy. :)

10:45am Turmeric Tonic : This drink had a lot of different ingredients in it, but the one that I tasted the most was the ginger. Normally I don't like ginger in my food, but I always grew up sipping ginger "tea" whenever I was sick. This drink was strangely comforting.

12:30 pm Mellow Love: This green juice was probably the best taste green I had over the last three days! It tasted a lot like water which (apparently) is the best that green juice can taste. This juice was parsley based. Parsley is a particularly good source of vitamin K, which helps blood clotting and may help reduce the risk of heart disease.

*Skipped!* Gazpacho Soup: This one looked way too strange to drink. It had large chunks of veggies in it and was way too weird looking to drink....

4:00pm Greek Salad: During a team meeting, I scarf down this salad like it's the last thing I'll ever eat. It was delicious and I'm getting used to eating my salads without dressing...

8:00pm Cashew Hemp Mylk: Delicious way to end my cleanse!

They say that by day 3, your body is fully over the shock of cleansing and you actually start to feel good. I can see that, but today was so busy that it's hard to remove my fatigue from situation. I'm glad that I stuck with the cleanse! Tomorrow's final weigh in will provide some clarity as to the juice cleanse's effect on weight loss and hopefully tomorrow morning I'll have enough energy to decipher how my body "feels" after such a experience.

I'm soo excited to eat real food tomorrow!! I want to ease into it but let's just say... I'm going to have a delicious breakfast tomorrow!

Love,
V
